Lowell, Vermont Ghost Tales Two large buildings in the village of Lowell Seem to attract ghostly lights, the old blacksmiths shop and the building known as the Block. Both are at the rivers edge but on opposite sides.When I was a kid my family lived in the ''Block''and I remember strange sounds and things disappearing only to reappear in a different place. I found out when I was an adult that a mother and her four children had died a few years before in the apartment that my family had lived in, they were gassed by the stove but the gas company and police couldn't find any leaks! The other place ''the Blacksmiths shop'' was       where my grandparents lived and I remember seeing one night a large ball of light appear in the middle of the living room and spin around clockwise in a circle for about a minute then fly straight through   the wall and disappear. A few weeks ago I went to Lowell and took some photos of both houses it was getting dark and when I looked at the pictures several balls of light were flying around the houses. These lights were not there when I took the pictures!.
