Ghosts are so ordinary around here; loads of locals don’t even lose sleep about it anymore. A number of locals say there are no phantoms, but Milton is filled with struggling souls just waiting to shock you. These       are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The spirit of an aircraft pilot was perceived screaming up on Rattlesnake Hill. The arrival of the observer scared the ghost   who then disappeared. It has been argued that this individual ghost may very well be a recognized former time dweller of Milton. One thing is for guaranteed, this is a hostile phantom that any rational person would not want to encounter. The phantom of a tough lumberjack hauling a large axe is repeatedly made out at Broadkill Neck at night looking down into the water. Based on what the folks who live here assert, this ghost is perhaps the undeparted ghost of a person who used to reside here in Milton.
