Phantoms are so ordinary in this town; lots of residents don’t even lose sleep about it any longer. Not everybody has faith in the stories the residents tell, but if you are bold enough to spend a night in Wilmington, you might witness a ghost for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A guy with a large hole through his torso can be spotted very often pulling up weeds in the back yard of a trailer in Wilmington. A female's body having a lizard's head is now and then spotted by a lady camping at a campground close to Wilmington. Whatever folks articulate, it's a menacing ghost that you shouldn't       go searching for. A gentleman having the head of a devil has been said to have been spotted on one or two instances glugging down water from Rock Spring in the early morning hours before sunrise. A woman burning, grasping a kerosene tank may every so often be made out crying out names in a metal boat on Cool Spring Reservoir. A number   of of the people who live here allege this ghost is the undead soul of a former Wilmington person who lived here. Either way, it undoubtedly is a bloodcurdling ghost that should be left alone. The ghost of a young air force pilot is repeatedly noticed in Alapocas Woods Park at the stroke of midnight concealing a body by a large boulder. In any event, this is a nasty ghost that is better not disturbed. A woman with a sea-green face has purportedly been perceived on one or two instances resting on a couch in a house in Wilmington. No matter what, it's a menacing spirit that you don't want to encounter late in the night. A gentleman having a sword in his head can often be spotted at Brandywine Creek Dam at midnight enjoying the view. One thing's for guaranteed, it's undeniably a menacing spirit that any reasonable person wouldn't wish to encounter. A man's body with the head of a raccoon may be made out very frequently digging a hole by Alapocas Run. If you listen to the locals, this spirit is the spirit of a vacationer that was killed while traveling through Wilmington some time ago.
