Amagansett, New York Ghost Tales One night, I was in my room here and it was about 3AM when I heard someone knocking on the door. See, I'm a teenage girl and I have multiple dogs and obviously live with my parents. I am on the upper floor of the house by myself and there is a gate next to the stairs that constricts the dogs from going upstairs. However, I knew that no one was awake at that time, and the dogs couldn't have gotten to my room. I called out my mom's name several times, knowing that it wasn't her. I called out my father's name, knowing it wasn't him. I called out all my dogs' names, but none of them responded. I got up out of my bed and opened my door. No one was there. The knocking stopped. Next, my bathroom door, which is a heavy door, slightly opened. Then my closet door. They both closed. Neither the fan nor the vents were on. Everything stopped. About 2 minutes later, my bathroom doors and closet doors opened all the way, then, violently, slammed shut (this happened twice). While this was going on, the knocking picked up again and was very loud and fast.       Obviously scared, I turned on the lights, got up, opened and slammed all of the doors shut, and went to sleep. I woke up a few more times to slow knocking, but it didn't happen again that night. However, my doors still open by themselves and I still hear knocking. This house was recently built, in about 2000-2002. I am fully convinced that there is   a ghost or some kind of presence in this house. Also, in my house in East Hampton (I moved from east Hampton to Amagansett about a year ago), I had some strange experiences there. I also had a ghost in my house in New Jersey.
