I also had a childhood Friend that lived in a haunted House and I remember one time strange things started happening and we got so scared we started running down the stairs to try and get out of the House and the light bulbs started to blow one by one as we went past them very spooky stuff. The grave yards were very haunted and when u went in them you immediately Felt spirits watching and following u and it was confirmed by the sounds in the woods walking with u as u were walking and u couldn't get out of them fast enough.
