My grandfather was an immigrant from Italy and he married my grandmother who was very irish and from what I understand they were devoted to each other. She unfortunately died when I was two years old so I never knew her but grandpa was certainly a character. When I     brought my future husband ''home'' to my grandfathers House to meet my mom he had a very Odd look on his face one that I have come to recognize as a little fearful and wouldn't sit in a room by himself. Later that evening when we were going off to bed he said ''this House is creepy''. Which was kind of comforting to me because I had always thought so. There was a picture of my great grandmother in my grandfathers room that I always made my mother take down when I came to visit because it spooked me.
