I used to live in this apartment near 20 Oak Street. One night while I was laying in bed getting ready to go to bed a person was over me staring in my face with a creepy grin and pulled me off the bed!!! That's not the only thing though. Every night when everyone one else was asleep I would here whispering and squeaky footsteps!!!! We moved to a new house and now I don't experience these problems anymore; it was apartment 2 a. I will never forget.

My name is Julio. I'm from the Bronx. In a cold November afternoon in 1976 me and my future wife and her sister took the 6 train to Pelham Bay Park. We entered the park and crossed to the other side of the park next to the water, and we sat down in some rocks. I looked around at the broken brick wall that had been around since the time of the war. Me and my future wife Adriana, and her sister Ivette sat down and saw an old abandoned boat, and the girls started joking that that was the boat that Christopher Columbus came. As we joked around a little I knew my life was going to change for the rest of my life.
The name Christopher was mentioned to many times. Then I looked at the girls, and I saw them white and scared. They told me ''Julio, look. There is a man looking at us. '' As I looked back, I saw this man looking at us. He was a soldier with a captain uniform, a life vest made out of wood, and a throwing knife. I told the girls ''don't get scared. It's a Halloween party nearby. I head the people. I'm going to talk to him. '' The girls said ''no, Julio please. He'd kill you. '' He was 13 feet away. I started the walk, ''Mr. Mr., Hello is there a block party? Nice costume you have. '' Now I'm 8 feet away. The wind picked up, and the air felt cold. Now we were face to face looking at each other. He looked at me the same way I looked at him. He dressed in a gray Civil War uniform with a long beard.
I got too close to him. I felt I was entering another world. I tried to grab him. He walked away fast. Then we looked and stared at each other in front of me, just like smoke vanished in thin air. Then the wind stopped, and the noise stopped. This ghost was face to face to me, and yes now I do believe in ghost. A friend told me that part of Pelham bay was a place where they had prisoners from the south.
