The bridge where Midland Ave crosses the railroad has a tall fence on it. Well that fence has a story. The bridge didn't always have a fence. Before the fence some people were reporting sightings of a ghost hobo sitting on the edge of the bridge.|
There was a hobo who had died there while attempting to jump on to the roof of a moving train and it was assumed that the ghost was his. Someone had the idea of putting up the fence that we see today to
keep the hobo ghost away.|
It helped some but not entirely. You can still see hands grabbing on to the fence from behind the wall of the bridge like
someone is hanging on for dear life. If this is the same hobo or if it's an entirely different ghost is not clear.|
