A chilling being can sometimes be made out hitch-hiking down a dark highway in the neighborhood of Callicoon Center. The ghost of a guy dressed as a plumber was observed looking by       Abe Wood Brook. Scared by the eye witnesses the ghost withdrew into the shadows. In any event, this is an unsympathetic ghost that you would not want to bump into late in the night. The phantom of a gentleman sporting a sheriff outfit was observed in a plastic boat on Shandelee Lake attempting to grab something.
