The phantom of a young woman with a rope around her neck is every now and then distinguished at Mansfield Creek before dawn heaving pebbles into the flowing water. A tremendously frightening phantom can from   time to time be noticed trying to grab something down next to Cold Spring in the early morning hours. Regardless of what people exclaim, it's sure a menacing ghost that is preferably not interrupted. The spirit of an aged gold digger with a sizeable beard and a hook instead of his hand was observed crawling up from a drain hole on a Cattaraugus street before dawn. The viewer was terrified and fled. One thing's for sure, this is an intimidating spirit that you do not want to run into late at night. The spirit of a flight attendant appeared among the trees of Harry E Dobbins Memorial State Forest terrifying people. The ghost did not seem to be bothered by the observers. Anyway, it's a terrifying spirit that any wise person wouldn't wish to run into.
