My grandfather father William Harris was the priest for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Greenwich NY in the 1970s. He was friends with the cartoonist Paul Fung (best known for Dagwood and ''Blondie''...) who encountered the ''spectre'' on a visit in July 1972. My mother kept the drawing from the newspaper it is quite un-nerving. I came across the drawing and asked my mother about it. She reluctantly told me she saw the spectre hovering over my newborn baby
brother's crib one night visiting her parents.|
She was scared speechless and was frozen in her bed reading. She found her courage spoke to the apparition
and demanded what do you want? ! The spectre looked up from my brother glared at my mother and floated back into the wall...|
I believe her! Ghost writer David Pitkin talks about the rectory ghost in the book New York state ghosts. Imp3d @aol.com.

There was this kid who fell in the river and died 40 years ago right by the railroad bridge. You can see him in the water sometimes struggling to stay afloat between the car bridge and the railroad bridge.
