Kinderhook, New York Ghost Tales

When I was a young boy a few friends my brother and I where in the cemetery behind St. Johns church in Valatie. We were in the very back behind the pond at night at the wilds family plot when I saw a translucent figure of a man staring at me. I was so scared I could not move or talk. I was locked looking at it. When I finally looked away I was able to move and taped my friend on the shoulder and pointed at it. He ran as soon as he saw it. We did not stop till we were at the top of the hill by St. Johns. I was 12 or 13 at the time.

At first sight Kinderhook, New York seems like your customary municipality, but this municipality belongs to the living dead after the sun has called it a day. Things go on in this town that can't be rationally explained. Some locals declare these reports are untrue, but Kinderhook is packed with tormented spirits just waiting to shock you.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A

person with a skeleton face wearing gloomy robes can be observed time and again hauling a corpse over rocks in Martin Van Buren National Historic Site before dawn. Whatever folks state, this ghost sure is frightening; one that should be kept away from.

A wandering ghost has from time to time been observed gulping soda pop by the side of a secluded road near Kinderhook at the stroke of midnight.
