Kings Park, New York Ghost Tales

I first moved to Kings Park in 1981. The house had been owned by a man who had died of lung cancer. Neighbors told me. In life, he had been very cranky and unfriendly. After we moved in, we heard footsteps on the first floor. There was often tobacco smoke in the bathroom, even though no one in my family was a smoker. We never saw this ghost, but we heard him sensed his presence and smelled his awful cigarettes. Have not heard from him at all in at least ten years, he may have finally moved on to the next world.
