Lindley, New York Ghost Tales I lived on stwell hill in lidley ny. I always was very uncomfortable in that house. I was scared to leave my then 1 year old daughter in her room to sleep. One night I saw a figure looking in the window and a few weeks later our heat went out. The upstairs had a few fires in it and my brother moved in after we left and he came home from work one winter to no heat and the fish were frozen in the tank like they were still swiming. Then a few weeks later he was called home to his house on fire. He lost everything. The house was torn down and now a new house is there but back farther on the land. Haven't       heard any other stories since. Its been told a man killed his wife many years ago in the house.
