The creaking stairs like most old houses had a pattern: if you were there often enough you could Tell whether someone was going up the stairs or down. Late at night after everyone was in bed Fred the ghost would walk up and down the stairs sometimes going through the Hall by the bedrooms. Things would often disappear (like a comb a toy a $10. 00 bill... ) only to reappear     months later in a completely different location (inside an old book on the rear porch etc) the best evidence of Fred however was a photograph taken by a family photographer. Standing in front of the rear of the house a picture of the family members was taken. Looking out the window was a man's face. No one was in the house at the time and the man is a stranger. (ok that scared me). One of the girls who lived there still has that picture. Rumor has it that the house was moved to the site from a pond or River site. The owner (clarence? ) was killed there.
