Custom Search Port Jefferson, New York Ghost Sightings Port Jefferson PAGE 1   2   3   4   5     Lived in Port Jefferson for 18 years - it is definitely haunted.  I personally experienced seeing a smiling woman in the rocketship park with a book in her hand.  It was the early morning - she smiled at me, walked toward the gate to get out of the park and instead of unlatching the gate she disappeared.  Also there are many many old houses in this town and its inhabitants generally have many many stories of haunting.  Like     I said though, nothing like I've read on this page. . Out of nowhere we heard Opera singing. We believe this is the same ghost that was heard by Evan. No one was there. We checked.
