Port Jefferson, New York Ghost Tales I was in my auditoruum back stage. I was rehearsing my part in the school play. I was with one other person, and she heard what I heard too. Out of nowhere we heard Opera singing. We believe this is the same ghost that was heard by Evan. No one was there. We checked. Submitted by Kelli When I was in the auditorium of my school, I heard loud footsteps running toward me, but when I turned around there was nothing there. Submitted by Evan There's not a single thing odd regarding Port Jefferson, New York by day, but not a hundred percent of the locals of this town are really alive. There have been a lot of encounters with beings from the other side. People who have never spent the night in this city will tell you it's lies, but menacing things undoubtedly happen here in Port Jefferson in the moonlight hours. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a gentleman dressed in a law enforcement outfit has now and then been seen up on Mount Misery glugging       down soda pop. The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead is every so often spotted by the water's edge at Cedar Beach smoking a pipe. The ghost of an elderly man with a long white beard has allegedly been observed on a few instances in Hatch Rock very late at night speaking into the air. The ghost of a guy   wearing an army uniform has often been perceived in the backseat of a vehicle by the driver spotting the spirit in his rear view mirror late in the night. A lady with a knife sticking out of her head has purportedly been spotted on many instances down next to the water at Conscience Bay crying. A local asserts that this ghost is probably the struggling ghost of a local person who used to have a home here in Port Jefferson. The ghost of a female with a bag strapped around her head can repeatedly be noticed mowing the lawn in the back yard of an apartment in Port Jefferson. No matter what folks express, this ghost indisputably is creepy; one that should be kept away from. A big scary ghost can be observed very frequently in West Meadow around midnight struggling to conceal a body. The ghost of a youthful gentleman wearing a confederate uniform is every so often made out by a person fishing by a lake near Port Jefferson. The spirit of a bound up gentleman has supposedly been spotted on a small number of occasions reasoning by the entrance to Fire Island National Seashore.
