I saw a ghost boy run across the tracks one night. I heard no sounds, and the boy had no feet. He ran across the tracks and disappeared. Submitted by Connie

I live in Salamanca, there's a ghost with a lantern they say. Some also say that it can look like a monster. The last time it was seen was 1 maybe 2 years ago on the Pennys Trail.

I lived in Salamanca for the first 30 years of my life, more than several times each summer you can hear ghost drums from Seneca war parties. And one time while camping out on the Allegheny River with several friends, we heard the war drums getting louder and louder. Then dead silence, and we watched a bark canoe go by our campsite with 4 Indian warriors paddling up stream. They were dressed in war paint with feathers and arrows, there was a slight mist from the water and they just seemed to emerge from the mist. The last warrior in the canoe looked back at me with a hateful visage and piercing red eyes, and then vanished back into the mist never to be seen again. There were 4 of us boys there that night and we all saw them same thing. We were about 16 years old back then and this happened over 30 years ago now, and we still bring it up. I will always remember my time in Salamanca and my run in with angry Indian war spirits.
