He dissipates into the lighting at the bottom of the steps. I go inside my house to tell my friend what I just witnessed and she comes out and as she does the whole scene is repeated. The man with the wide rimmed fedora is walking down the     same last portion of steps and never looks back to acknowledge or even see what the commotion is behind him, dog barking, me and her looking down, me saying, ''do you see him?'' And, just like a movie repeat , he fades into gray, at the bottom of the steps. I saw the same exact thing twice. I saw a ghost. I am convinced.
