Selden, New York Ghost Tales I have been in selden for my life, that is 14 years, and I've been seeing ghosts since I was about 5. From the first ghost killing my fish, to the ghost pushing me down not letting me get up. Some I see are indians and some are just dark figures that will make you tremble. Chairs shift around, words coming out of nothing. Not everybody has faith in the accounts the local residents tell, but everybody who resides in Selden is not alive. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A knight's armor from the middle ages without a human inside can every now and then be spotted in a phone booth in Selden talking on the telephone. A somewhat translucent gentleman clad as the skipper of a freight ship was perceived wandering through a Selden area graveyard. When the eye witness appeared the spirit ran off. A sizeable menacing       spirit came into sight trying to state something up on the top of Mount Misery. The arrival of the watcher terrified the ghost who then disappeared. Folks who have perceived this ghost allege this ghost is in all probability the undeparted ghost of a resident who used to have a house here in Selden. The ghost of a young man in a confederate   uniform was distinguished going for a dip down by Cedar Beach at night. The ghost spoke about avenging a homicide. Folks declare that this ghost is the stressed soul of a long dead Selden person who lived here. In any case, this is an intimidating ghost that any normal person would not want to come across. The ghost of a hobo materialized at night scrutinizing Hatch Rock in detail. The observer freaked out and ran away. The ghost of a young woman drenched in blood was spotted looking down into the water at Little Bay at midnight. The ghost did not seem to be worried by the bystanders. Whatever folks exclaim, it's a menacing ghost that should be avoided. A man with a big hole through his upper body is often spotted looking chilling down a desolate highway right next door to Selden in the early morning hours before sunrise. A woman's body having a rat's head has been distinguished on several occasions turning toward the observer in a motor boat on Gibbs Pond. A woman who lives here claims that this phantom is the phantom of a visitor that was killed while driving through Selden many years ago.
