I work at the Marymount College campus and have definitely seen shadow figures the smell of cigar smoke. I've been tapped. Nothing scary, actually found it to be pretty cool. I've also the feeling of something running their hand through my hair.|

There is another name for Tarrytown sleepy hollow. Go traveling in the woods late at night and you'll run into the headless horseman himself. You may hear the screams of his victims or run into them including his most famous ichabod crane.

Comment by Kevim: Wrong. Tarrytown and sleepy hollow are 2 totally different townships. One is Tarrytown, and the other is Sleepy Hollow but was originally Sleepers Haven and renamed in late 90s early 2000s. Don't get it twisted. They are not the same. Not even close. They are next to each other, and a street sign is the only way one could visually see the difference. Sleepy has orange and black street signs all year long (majority of emergency vehicles are also same colors). Tarrytown has your basic green and white. The Dutch originally called it Slerpershazen. Patriot Park is kind of a divider also. That's the area where a Hessian mercenary would get his head blown off by a cannon ball as a form of execution the moment he was caught.
This real person (now dead obvi) is Washington Irving's main character in the headless horseman tale. It's ''fictional'' but was based on actual real events and a wee bit of fallacy thrown into the mix. Although this place is extremely haunted it was voted most haunted area in the world in 2006. The headless horseman ghost is a real thing, and countless people have see apparitions of him and his horse, not just him but Irving's family including him.
Comment by Marge: Sleepy Hollow was previously north Tarrytown. Tarrytown and north Tarrytown share the same postal address and are very interchangeable.
These are some of the spooky things that have happened in nearby cities and towns.
