Trumansburg, New York Ghost Tales    A female having the head of a demon has now and then been seen staring wrathfully at the eye witness in Taughannock Falls State Park at midnight. I had this expeience before I had come here to do research! I am a non-beleiver but this is uncanny. - Ghost picture submitted by G.C.       Categories: camping, woods An excerpt from a report I wrote about a camping trip at the state park, I am not a ''believer'' and did not know at the time of writting about ghost sightings in the area. Sometime late in the pitch black forest campsite we decided to take a walk to the rest room bath house to take care of pending business. As we approached the steep path with timber and soil steps, we both noticed a strange figure lurking with an unnatural posture lurking beneath but slightly to the side of the outside lighting. The light fog and damp air made for a very uneasy vibe. Struggling to find my bravado and maintain rational thinking, I insisted to myself this was just nothing out of the ordinary. As we fought are instinct passing one or two steps, the figure stood still. There was no pacing typical of an impatient husband, or surveying like a diligent parent, only a menacing steady stance. At this point we both sensed a mutual feeling of tension and uneasiness, so I decided to raise my flashlight up the path and onto the figure in hopes of eliciting any       kind of response, a wave, or perhaps some pacing anything to indicate a normal person simply distorted by the eerie lighting. Instead the figure remained steadfast and menacing. We both at the same time knew it was just ''not right'' and down right creepy. We quickly turned back with hearts racing and headed back to our camp taking occasional glimpses   over our shoulders. Keep in mind we are both survivors of the eighties in all it's insanity having spent nights in grave yards drinking beer and dealing with the most bizarre of human behavior, this was beyond frightening and remains beyond rational explanation. I kept whispering ''that was not f#$%ing right'', ''THAT was just NOT right''. .
