Tuxedo Park is full of stories about the deceased who enjoyed the society life so much, they decided to stay. The older, large homes make great settings for hearing sounds in the night. Not all are only in the mind of the living though. The only house of worship in the park is St. Mary's episcopal church. There is a hallway that runs through the vestry area which is haunted by one of the vicars. The strange happenings go back to the 40's, so it was one

who served the church prior to that time. There is also a home that belonged to a famous scientist; a scientist who helped us win WW2 by working on

radar and other secret projects. His home is said to be haunted by one of the servants who lived on the top floor.
The servants had to use separate doors, staircases, and entryways. This one servant, a female, was not treated well by the head servant, and had some kind of accident happen. On certain nights you can hear the doors violently rattle as if someone is trying to open them, and you will see a ball of light move throughout the house and usually
