with radiators, so it wasn't something as simple as the heat coming on making the ductwork pop as it heated up. I tried my best for some kind of rational explanations but could come up with nothing. This became a nightly occurrence, and was so unsettling that my partner and I would wake each other up so we wouldn't have to go up alone and both of us were in our late 30s at the time.

just continued to increase in frequency and intensity. To Wit: Every night, approximately 2 minutes after I would turn off the TV to go to sleep, I would

feel a static electricity going up and down the surface of my legs, making the small muscles close to the surface of my skin twitch and jump, and then my feet would be poked and stroked. Sometimes there would be a distinct snatch at the edge of the mattress.
I would NOT be asleep during this time as it always began right after I turned off the television. This particular entity also would make itself known to everyone in the house by occasionally
