Warnerville PAGE 1   2

  I lived in a house built by a Mr. Davenport who was my step father's father in law. They had used gravel to mix the concrete for the cellar and floor from an old Indian burial ground in Warnerville. Many times I heard footsteps and light switches switching on and off.
Also would see human like figures slip by at night and feel the presence of someone standing by your bed; eerie but never threatening . Dad said it was because of the bones from the Indians;
    that they were lost and looking to find where they were laid to rest. The spot where the gravel was taken from was on the Warnerville cutoff.
And that
site along the creek was later to be named the Timlen Site after the man who found the area of the oldest Indian settlement in N.Y.S. It is located from behind the old Merton Utter house and continues downstream to the land behind the church in Warnerville .

The Confederate soldier, reported in Cobleskill NY area of this sight, has been seen in the daytime walking down mickle hollow road. His clothing is tattered and he has a small bag over his shoulder. I cannot be positive that he is a Confederate soldier, but his uniform is grey in color, but he does not bear any markings suggesting a rank or officer status.
