In 1974, I was 4 years old but remember this like it was yesterday. I lived in Watertown, N. Y. It was a sunny afternoon when my mom was in the kitchen cooking my dad was mowing the lawn my sis on the swing. Me, I was sitting on the back step when I looked toward our horse stable. When there stood stood a beautiful Indian girl with a feather in her hair band. She stared back to me and waved with a soft smile.

When I ran to get my family to check out the barn, she was nowhere to be found!! I was not scared of her and I've never forgotten her. It was later told to me that we lived in an area that had been an Indian burial ground.

I wish I could know more about her. Submitted by Jeanine
Comment by Melissa: This whole Indian burial ground stuff is played out. Also Indian girls don't wear feathers in their hair. I don't know what you saw but it wasn't native.
Comment by Witch: Melissa, Native American girls and women do wear feathers in the headbands. There are thousands of Native American burial grounds all over their country. Ignorant white people stole it from them and built sky scrapers on top of their ancestors resting places. I think you should research real Native American history sweetie.
