A lady's body with a pig's head may be perceived very frequently in Deer Lake Fossil Site late in the night seeking a box. Some of those who live here argue this ghost takes pleasure in frightening foolish folks who are brave enough to interrupt the tranquility in Auburn. A fairly decayed human corpse has sometimes been observed chucking boulders into Deer Lake Pond on a dark night.
