A female form has supposedly   been perceived on one or two occasions munching on a slice of pizza at Boyd Keller Reservoir Dam before dawn. It's been asserted that this exact ghost is the tormented spirit of an old Avis local resident. The phantom of a man holding a sword was noticed looking at the waves by the water's edge at Jersey Shore in the early morning hours before sunrise. When witnessed the ghost came near the bystander who then fled. The phantom of a woman with a pentagram engraved into her cheek became visible in a secluded area in close proximity to Avis. This particular spirit has been seen very often in this spot. If you listen to the folks who live here, this spirit is the spirit of a vacationer that was killed while journeying through Avis long ago.
