When I was young we lived in a house on Northampton St. We lived there for 13 years. Once when I was 7 yrs old, I was awakened in the middle of the night by my mother screaming and I heard her run past my bedroom door and down the stairs. I ran downstairs to find my father comforting her and trying to figure out what had happened. My mom said that there was a man outside her bedroom window. Her window was 3 stories up. My dad looked outside to see if there was a ladder or something, nothing. My parents decided to put a deck on the back of the house and on occasion before the stairs were put in they saw a figure walking around. A few years later, they remodeled the kitchen. After it was done things started happening on a regular basis. Every night after dinner was done and cleaned up we turned off the kitchen light and would go into the living room for family TV time. The kitchen light would turn on and off on its own and sometimes just flicker until someone went and shut it off again. During the day once a mug fell off a mug tree

on the kitchen counter and rolled to the edge, then stood up. One of our neighbors was over one day having coffee, while my mom and her were talking the neighbor mindlessly picked up a pencil that was laying on the table and rubbed lightly on a notepad. The name Margaret appeared and so from then on our ghost had a name. The neighbor who fancied

herself a medium said that my mom should look in the floor of the attic and she would find a picture of Margaret. We never tried, too scared I guess. After the first incident of the man in the window my parents bought me a cat because I wouldn't sleep in my own bed. 6 years later the cat was hit by a car in front of our house and was buried in the backyard. At night the ghost of the cat could be seen walking and laying in her usual spots in the upstairs hallway. One of my mom's friends was standing in the doorway between the LR & kitchen and felt water drops on her head she looked up and touched the doorway to see if it was wet but there were no signs of moisture at all. Her friend joked ''Is Margaret spitting on me?''. My mom also said that when my brothers and I were very young she would hear a baby crying during our naptime. She would come to our room to find all of us sleeping sound. It was a strange house to grow up in, and I wonder if the new owners have had any incidences.
