On December 6th 1962 at 1:25 p. M. There was an explosion at the robeana coal mine about 8 Miles outside of carmichaels. In Carmichaels two neighbors both worked at the mine but they never worked the same shift until on this day. Someway jim and jerry both got the Day shift and in fact they road to work that Day     together. At exactly 1:25 p. M. Both jim and jerry's wives heard a knock at their front door both women answered to find no one there. Both women even spoke to one another stating they had a heard a knock at their door but answered to find no one there. About 1/2 hour later word had gotten to the town and later the women found out that their husbands were trapped in the mine explosion. Is it possible that death called on the men at the same time but was confused wnd realizing they were at work death left the houses and went to the mine before the women   (continued on the next page...)
