Coal Township, Pennsylvania Ghost Tales

It was sometime in spring, in the early hours before morning. I remember it was raining out. It was one of those all night rains that are common in the spring. I was awoken from a sound sleep to the unmistakable sounds of children playing in the rain. I got out of bed and I went to the window to see whose children would be outside at such an ungodly hour. When I pulled the blind aside there was no one there but you could still hear them playing. For a few more minutes I listened and then all went quite. Well needless to say I had a very hard time sleeping for a few days and every time it rains I get a little uneasy. Although I have not heard anything since that night. I have a few other stories though.

I recently went to Coal Township to visit an old friend. I was driving on south 61 and noticed an old man walking fairly late at night. He seemed to be very feeble so I stopped to ask him if he needed me to make a phone call for him when he turned

to me his face was eerily faint and almost see through. He seemed not real and very distant. He only looked at me and did not answer me at all. I asked him again thinking maybe he had hard hearing but within seconds he completely dissipated into thin air. I know some may think this is absurd but I was up until this point a non believer of paranormal
but now I am a full believer.

At first sight Coal Township, Pennsylvania seems like your common city, but underneath the surface there are atypical things going on. The ghosts of this town don’t leave anyone unalarmed. Skeptics don't trust in the local ghost testimonies, but the undead spirits of Coal Township are all too real.

These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently.

A headless gentleman was perceived smoking a pipe in Bear Valley around midnight. The bystander freaked out and ran away. In any case, it's undoubtedly a chilling ghost that you do not want to come across at the stroke of midnight.

The ghost of a physician with a blood-covered uniform was witnessed discussing into the night up on the apex of Mahanoy Mountain. The ghost didn't appear to be scared by the bystanders.

A female with her head and right arm and right leg sliced off became visible reading a pamphlet
in Kemp Stadium late at night. The ghost reacted to the onlooker. Regardless of what people articulate, this ghost undeniably is bloodcurdling; one that any commonsensical person wouldn't want to meet.
