I can confirm the ''purple light'' ghost. I grew up near the spot during the 60's and 70's and the rr track gorge ran behind my house in the woods. Several times (always around midnight) I and friends (also my father) would witness a blue-purple flickering lantern low in the gorge and I actually had 2 photos of it which unfortunately were lost through the years. The story was.... A hobo from the great depression years was hit and killed by a train.

I was wondering if anyone remembers the whole story of purple light creek. What I recall was that a girl in a purple gown had thrown herself o the high rr bridge back there at midnight and that she would appear as a purple shimmer on the water.
