Gettysburg, Pennsylvania Ghost Sightings - PAGE 6
Like many of the children growing up in Pennsylvania, I had gone to Gettysburg on a field trip while I was in school. Back then I like many others did not fully understand the enormity of the Civil War. Well, we went on a battlefield tour, and one spot stood out to me. I felt pain, fear, and just plain off. I could not set foot on that part of the field, and even trying make me sick to my stomach and also very upset.
I took one step on the field and began crying. I did not understand why. Now as a fully grown woman, I have found I had two ancestors who were short during the battle. One died on the third day of battle. A family elder told me he had been shot close to where the class had been. I wonder if I somehow felt the pain of the dying man or the fear of his brother as he carried his brother away from the battle. Neither of them were old enough to serve at the time, but both joined the Union after their father died.
I am also known to be called sensitive to the ghost world. My apartment is haunted by a kitten. I discovered this when I and the person living next door kept hearing newborn kitten cries, but we couldn't find out where they were coming from. The landlord had said that he had an elderly lady who had died here, and she had been bottle feeding kittens at the time she died. I have a cat and a dog who both seem to know there is another animal here.
I get visits from my dead grandmother often. I knew her to have always done what was unique to only her. I've been visited by my great grandmother whom I never meet. I was born nine months to the day after her death. She was also said to have been a sensitive. My pap would always tell me I was just like his mother once was.
