In the one area of pheasant Valley there is a civil War Era Man buried his name was Jacob henry. During the civil War Henry had a few sons old enough to fight in the War his youngest son chose not to get involved however one Day when men arrived     to get his son to help the fight of the War a gun battle broke out and Jacob Henry was killed during the fight. Henry was a blacksmith by Trade he had always told his sons that when he died he wanted buried close to a nearby Chestnut tree which of course they saw to it that he was laid to eternal rest there. However Jacob Henry s rest doesn't seem to be as planned numerous people have claimed to see the ghost of henry, and others including myself have heard the sound of what sounds like a hammer hitting an anvil out in the woods where he is buried   (continued on the next page...)
