Some local residents declare these tales are lies, but if you have the guts to spend the night in Mahanoy City, you may well distinguish a phantom for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A decapitated guy is repeatedly distinguished in Locust Lake State Park in the early morning hours before sunrise hauling a cranium. Nonetheless, it's undoubtedly a scary ghost that you wouldn't wish to meet at the stroke of midnight. A woman with her right arm and left leg separated can regularly be observed screaming on the pinnacle of one of the hills in the Broad Mountain very late at night. A       military outfit marching around lacking a body in it has every now and then been perceived gazing at the water by B-D Mining Company Pond Number Two Wmf Dam late in the night. In any event, this ghost certainly is creepy; one that you shouldn't go searching for. The ghost of a severely burned woman has allegedly been observed on frequent occasions   attempting to snatch something down by the waterfront at Eisenhuth Reservoir. If you listen to the people who live here, this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while traveling through Mahanoy City a long time ago. The ghost of a guy with a name cut into his nose can now and then be noticed exploring Negro Hollow in detail after midnight. Regardless of what, it's a creepy ghost that is rather not disturbed. The ghost of a gravely mangled huntsman dragging a dead wolf was seen thinking up on the summit of Bears Head. The bystander was frightened and ran away. A woman lacking a head materialized in the rear seat of a Chevy by the driver catching a sight of the ghost in her rear view mirror at midnight. The ghost didn't appear to be agonized by the witnesses. A guy without a head was distinguished by the water at The Cove shuffling orbs around. The phantom waved to the watcher. A lot of people who live here claim this ghost is that of a local who had a home here in Mahanoy City in the past. No matter what folks articulate, it is in all certainty a bloodcurdling spirit that you would not want to encounter at the stroke of midnight.
