I'm not sure if it was just my eyes playing tricks on me or not but it really did scare me. Other strange things happened in that house as well such as noises animals acting strangely etc. I used to think that source the activity was from our basement. It     used to be an old doctor's office (I wasn't sure how long the office used to be there... I heard rumors that it was in use during the Civil War which could be; the house was built in the 1850s, and was turned into our furnace room when the rest of the house was built around the office. It's very eerie down there, and I never Felt comfortable going into those rooms even as I got older.
