New Oxford, Pennsylvania Ghost Tales I was in New Oxford Middle School in the eighth grade, when I was in the library on a computer doing work I heard a girls voice saying ''Want to play with me?''  No one else was around me and no one else was on or around the computers.  I have told my friends about this and some of them have had the same experence when someone or something was talking to them. Scores of ghost accounts have been disclosed by the people who live here. Some people who live here declare there are no ghosts, but the things that go on here in New Oxford in the dark hours will freak you out. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A man that shifted shape into a vampire materialized pulling a body from the freezing water of Beaverdam Creek in the early morning hours. The spirit did not mind that there was someone other       near. Regardless of what folks verbalize, it's a frightening ghost that you don't want to bump into at night. A luminous human figure was spotted taking in the landscape at Browns Dam around midnight. When the watcher came into sight the spirit ran off. A local resident says that this phantom enjoys frightening foolhardy folks who are fearless   enough to disrupt the silence in New Oxford. Nevertheless, it is unquestionably a menacing spirit that any sensible person would not want to bump into. The spirit of a pregnant lady was seen in the backseat of a Toyota by the driver witnessing the ghost in his rear view mirror at midnight. The arrival of the viewer terrified the ghost who then vanished. A headless guy has repeatedly been witnessed pulling up weeds in the yard of a mobile home in New Oxford. One of the locals determinedly asserts that this spirit enjoys frightening unwise folks who come trying to locate spirits in New Oxford. The phantom of a surgeon with a bloody uniform is regularly spotted relaxing in a chair in a house in New Oxford. A woman with her legs cut off is rumored to have been noticed on a few instances up on the top of Granite Hill turning toward the viewer. Some of those who live here say this ghost may be a famous old days local of New Oxford. An armed forces uniform pacing about without a body in it can regularly be seen shouting at the watcher to leave in Adams County Fair Grounds at night. In any case, this phantom sure is creepy; one that you shouldn't go trying to locate.
