There was no opening to the attic when they moved in so they had to make one. My grandma says that once they opened up the attic they must have let something out because that's when the rocking first started. At night if you are sick or upset you get this sensation as if you're being rocked. We've never seen whoever is rocking us but they seem to be comforting.     I also remember seeing a very vivid apparition of a Union Soldier there once when I was younger. (the house has been renovated so it looks differently than it did then. ) he walked down the Hall towards the stairs paused and then slowly walked down the steps only to disappear half way. He looked sad. Also I don't really remember this but my grandparents had a full length mirror in their bedroom and I'm told that when I was younger I ''refused to go into grama and pap's room because the ghosts lived in the mirror.''.
