Shippensburg, Pennsylvania Ghost Tales When I was little I lived on Vaughn Road, Shippensburg, PA. 17257. There was a few things that happened there, like seeing weird and un explainable things, seeing an angel going past the door frame. hearing things in our laundry room. and after my dad died, it got worse. My grandma kept seeing him all around the house, and hearing people talking, and having weird feelings. Once I moved to the house I'm at now, I constantly have feelings I'm being watched. Yet, no one's there. I've been hearing rustling in different places throughout the house. And a few months ago from when I'm writing this, (Oct. 28, 2008) I heard demonic voices, I don't know if they were all in my head, or real. I was wide awake at the time. and after that, I kept hearing children's voices. I don't know if it's just my imagination, or if my house(s) are really haunted. Submitted by Alisha       Categories: angel, home, demons, children, voices Has any one seen a ghost on Route 81 in the Shippensburg area?   My husband (driver) and       I (passenger) just left the Subway Sandwich Store and headed for Route 81 South.  We merged onto Route 81 and started traveling south.  It was raining quite heavily, when I saw a figure hunched over (like someone trying to keep dry from the rain) running in front of the car across all the southbound lanes of traffic.  I let out a gasp! When it reached   the middle of Route 81 the figure disappeared.   I came home and typed in Shippensburg, Pa ghosts and was amazed to see that this town has a few “spirits”.  It would be interesting to know if this was an actual ghost sighting. The ghost was consumed by the thin air after being distinguished. The phantom of a civil war fighter was witnessed yelling in Devil Alex Hollow around midnight. When witnessed the spirit approached the viewer who then escaped.
