While it only happens late at night or early in the morning, by the time you reach the spot where you saw him cross, there is no one there. Scores of ghost reports have been passed on by the folks who live here. Not everybody has faith in the stories the folks who live here tell, but seeing is believing and if you spend the night here in Shohola, you may catch a glimpse of a ghost. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The       phantom of a man gripping a sword has been seen on numerous instances on the water's edge of Nitche Pond downing blood from a container. The spirit of a lady having a word carved into her forehead may frequently be witnessed hovering in the air like a helium balloon in Shohola.
