A man lacking a head may once in a while be perceived before sunrise floating along Batchellors Run. An enormously creepy ghost was spotted sitting on a couch in a house near Ashton. Alarmed by the watchers the ghost receded into the darkness. The ghost of an elderly prospector with a large mustache and a hook instead   of his hand came into sight pulling a dead body across the dirt in Bel Pre Park in the early morning hours. When observed the ghost moved toward the onlooker who then ran off.
