I couldn't talk. I am a policeman and do not like to be ridiculed so I remained silent about the encounter.

Comment by Clyde: I'm a retired PG county cop and only recently got into the paranormal. You are not crazy and you are not alone. Go to one of the local meetup groups and find out what other evidence the members share. I think you will be surprised.
Feel lucky, most paranormal investigators never get to see a full body apparition.

Back in 1997 I had some business up in Baltimore and I took the wrong exit on the freeway (this was before GPS). I ended up in this really scary neighborhood that looked very much like a war zone. I saw this guy on the street at a stop sign staring at me, I freaked out and locked my doors. I was afraid he would attack me. Then he just vanished into thin air. I have never been so scared in my life and since then I've been really careful not to get lost.
