Boonsboro, Maryland Ghost Tales Today I am 20yrs. I have witnessed more paranormal things in our old house than what my sister had. As of today I can still be scared of the dark without my husband by my side. Growing up in this house I have heard and witnessed ghost and the old past to the present. At the age of 10,our cat ran away, a couple weeks later I could feel paws coming up to the head of the bed at 2 in the morning, nothing could be seen. At the age of 11,around 2-3am. A man in black came up to my bed picked my feet up and slammed them together, I hid under my covers all night being sweaty. The next morning my feet were so sore who knows if this was a dream. Things would be moved in my teen years, voices around the house. Strange noises like tapping and boots walking upstairs, nobody was home and nobody could get upstairs in the attic. It started to get worse when I started to date. My bed started to shake trying to wake me up or when I was just trying to read a book. It did not bother me at all. My ex has also witnessed the shaking of the bed and noises from nowhere.       I told my mother about the shaking bed she was shocked and told me she witnessed it to when my father and her moved in. Many people have witnessed an out of body experience I have many of times, and I swear I have woke up falling from the air onto the bed. People would call my name, a little girl crying from a corner could be heard. Whispering can   be heard. Someone touching your shoulder or just a shudder when you know that someone is there behind you, just watching you. Old things have been found in the house. A priest may have lived here, or to see a dying person, his collar left behind. Old shoes, 1700-1800 black and white pictures of families who may have lived here were left behind in the walls. A bible, dice, cards, silverware, children storybooks, sad letters, torn up corsets, 1700-1800 three pairs of eyeglasses in decent shape, old toys, valentine cards. I have even found an old syringe without the needle in a wooden cigar case, deeply hidden in the attic where nobody could see it. Somebody had a drug addiction. Cocaine-heroin. In the body of it was the dried up drug waiting to be tested. Our house was a hospital for the brave in the civil war. Old belt buckles, coins, horseshoes, shoes, cups and an old case of amputating saws were found out in the old partial stone building in the back that we dug up. We will never know if there may be any body's or parts buried deep in the yard. The house next to us was an old Pub, in which there were many drunken gun fights. My mother had seen an old wealthy looking man in fur and a black hat staring at her then suddenly disappearing beside of the old Pub before it was remolded. The original horse barn is still standing and being used. As of this day I still think about the days growing up in that house, and everything that was unexplained without knowing the story of that old house. .
