It's creepy now because my mom has never told me she believes in ghosts until recently. I now am 24. Guess she didn't want to scare me.

I grew up in Maryland and moved back to the Glen Burnie area in 2003. There are many entities ghosts spirits and familiars in that area. We lived near the bean house which is located on little road just south of harandale on the west side of Ritchie highway. I never saw any spirits at that house but always sensed a feeling of cold and uncalm. We however had a spirit in our basement who would occasionally brush up against me playfully rub my hair or mischievously pull it from time to time. It was only recently through the discovery channel that I found out that the land those homes were built on after WWII had been used as an old rifle range and training camp until the early 1900's.
My son and I would spot Civil War type soldiers at the back of the house and down the embankment of Marley Creek once in a while. They were harmless but I always felt like I was being watched. I never saw a figure in the basement of the house but knew that there was one or more that was playing with my psyche. My friend Barry took my son for a ride one evening up to Lawyer's Hill which is located near the Catonsville / Ellicott City area and we did see what looked like a figure in a long light blue dress with a noose around her neck. She disappeared as we got closer but I always wondered if she hitched a ride with us that night. The car windows frosted upon our passing the area where we saw her and the temperature in the car suddenly became quite cold. My friend Barry also has a few ghosts at his home in Arbutis.|
I knew Barry for about 18 months before seeing his ''cat''. I made the comment that I did not know he had a cat and he asked me to describe her. I told him she was black and white like a tuxedo cat and he told his mother I had seen her. The cat had been dead for 18 years and his mother used to see her ascending or descending the staircase but never mentioned it after her 4 boys told her there was no way. My spotting ''Trixie'' verified that she was not mad. Lol... T here is also an unfriendly entity in the bedroom at the top of the staircase of the house. You can feel the cold but when I walk in the bedroom the temperature warms. |
I am the only one that entity is comfortable with and doesn't torment. Another ghost of the church organist can be seen ascending that staircase from time to time. One evening the organ started playing...It had been unplugged for years! And lastly all of us have seen a Confederate soldier crossing the yard and stopping at the old oak tree in the front of the house to gaze at the stars at night. People would think we were nuts but if you hang around that house on Magnolia for a while you start to believe.
