I was surprised to see Ijamsville, Maryland and even more surprised not to see Gabriel's Inn listed. Gabriel's Inn was built in 1862 in the midst of the civil war and also was a sanitarium for women with mild mental disorders for over 80 years until becoming an Inn in 1962.Needless to say with all that history our ghostly residents are many and make themselves known in many ways. Almost     everyone who has spent any time on the property has experienced them, from the kindly gentleman who wanders our back hallway nightly seeing to the lady patients, to the lady in the polka dot dress that shows herself to customers in the ladies restroom.
