Millersville, Maryland Ghost Tales A small girl who resembles a child in the 1940's with extremely curly, short blonde hair, and a pink dress with white ruffles, can be seen on the sides of Millersville back roads and neighborhood streets. She's only been seen after the sun starts to set or is completely down. On one account, she was skipping rope and humming, on another, simply standing on the side of the road, staring intently at passing cars and humming. The eyewitness said her humming drowned out the loud rock music he was playing in his car. She's always humming, and she's always dressed the same. I've seen her and heard about sightings since I was very young, but to this day I still do not know anything about her. . Anyhow, this ghost sure is chilling; one that is better not disturbed. The ghost of an old Indian chief has been spotted on a small number of occasions in the rear seat of a Pontiac by the driver seeing the ghost in her rear view mirror in the early morning hours. The ghost of an elderly cleaning lady may from time to time be distinguished by Lake Waterford Dam before dawn staring at the water. The ghost of a youthful female clothed as a house keeper was noticed thinking down beside the water at Back Creek. The phantom reacted to the eye witness. Some of the people who live in this town argue this spirit is almost certainly the stressed spirit of a local who used to live here in Millersville. The ghost of a down-and-out man was distinguished by Arthurs Run shuffling orbs around. When the ghost was perceived it disappeared into the thin air. It's been claimed that this precise ghost is the struggling spirit of a long dead Millersville resident.
