Pittsville, Maryland Ghost Tales I was walking down to the wood in front of my house with my dog. I got to the small clearing in the woods; I saw a pale white woman at the other side of the field where I was. I thought it was a regular woman. Then my dogs hair bristled and he started barking and growling. When I went down on my knees to calm him down, I looked back up to see if the woman was still there, but she was gone. That's when I realized it was a ghost I ran all the way home. I was extremely tired so we went to bed pretty early knowing I would sleep through the entire night. to my surprise I was suddenly disrupted in my sleep around three o'clock in the morning when I rolled over to see the shadowy figure of a little girl illuminated by the moonlight. I thought it could have been my friends little sister but then I remembered she was staying at her friends house. the little       girl was standing at the foot of the bed and her body was faced towards me. I was freaked out so I hid under the covers for about thirty minutes before I gained the courage to wake up my friend. when I turned back around the little girl was gone.
