Local Lore tells of an angry skipjack captain of the days of yore who’d shanghaied unlucky men and forced those to relentless labors of the oyster bars. and to look for new unsuspecting laborers. It was until a man from Baltimore, whose brother met his fateful end under the coercion the captain, sought revenge. The young man followed the captain into the bathroom and clubbed him with a brick. After many days unconscious, the captain passed. Fifty years later this story is still told. The old timers who remember the captain stay away from the men’s bathroom. It is said that
