When the onlooker showed up the phantom ran off. A local man says that this ghost is that of a local person   who lived here in Showell a long time ago. The ghost of an old man with a large white beard came into sight tossing pebbles down by the water at Lewis Neck. The phantom spoke about avenging a homicide.
