Bat Cave, North Carolina Ghost Tales I was down there about 4 months ago staying at creekside campgrounds and around 4 am I woke up to let my dog use the restroom. While I was outside it was a beautiful clear night. I looked to the east and saw an apparition standing about 30 feet away. When I acknowledged the image he began walking towards me and then disappeared. I immediately ran inside and woke my wife who said I was crazy until the following night when the same event happened to her. BAT CAVE IS SPOOKY. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A guy's body having the head of a skunk can often be seen relaxing       on a stool in a building in Bat Cave. A womanly body may be witnessed often shifting orbs around beside a lamppost in Bat Cave.
