Camp Lejeune, North Carolina Ghost Sightings - PAGE 11
(...continued from the previous page)|
He explained that from the corner of his eye he saw a figure walk past his doorway . When he went to look there was no one there . He felt that someone was watching him work . Two days ago Dec 4th 2013 a plumber told me that doors were closing in corridors that were empty of all workers .
He had been staying late past 5 pm . When he walked towards the sound he was unable to locate anyone . The entire building was empty . His wife researched the
event online and discovered that the original Onslow County courthouse was located there and capitol crimes were executed by hanging on the very site
Also 14 marines died in a helicopter accident in the 90s just east of the building when two choppers collided at 2 am . 1 marine drowned in the late hours of the night while fishing on the dock near this location .

Comment by Fred: I was stationed at Camp Lejeune from 1990 through 1997; the two helicopters colliding happened at TLZ Bluebird or Bluejay (can't remember which one. ) haven't been back to Lejeune in over 20 years so I'm not sure if that is in the same area as described above.
I did man the old Snead's Ferry Gate 1993-1994 and did not like the feeling out there in the morning hours. Never seen anything, but heard many strange noises coming from the Snead's Ferry River.
